Talking therapies offered
I offer in-person and online counselling. In-person sessions take place in Barnet, North London, and I can offer remote sessions to anywhere within the UK.
Open-ended therapy
Open-ended therapy, also known as long-term or unstructured therapy, is a form of psychotherapy where the number of sessions is not predetermined. Instead, the therapy continues for as long as the client feels it is beneficial and necessary. This approach allows for a deeper exploration of issues and a more flexible pace tailored to the individual's needs.
Goal-focused therapy
Goal-focused therapy is a therapeutic approach that focuses on collaboratively setting and achieving specific, measurable goals with the client. It emphasises identifying what the client wants to change or achieve in their life and then working towards those desired outcomes

My therapeutic approaches
- Integrative model
Integrative therapy is a flexible and personalised approach to psychotherapy that combines elements from different therapeutic models to best suit the individual needs of a client. It moves beyond the limitations of single-school approaches by drawing on various psychological theories and techniques to create a more inclusive and effective treatment plan.
- Person-centred Counselling for Depression model
Person-centred experiential counselling, rooted in the work of Carl Rogers, is a humanistic approach to therapy that focuses on the client's experience and inner resources to facilitate positive change and address depression. It is based on the belief that individuals are inherently motivated towards growth and self-actualisation. This approach emphasises empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness from the therapist, creating a safe space for the client to explore their feelings and experiences related to depression.
- Strength-based model
A strength-based approach in therapy emphasizes a client's positive attributes, resources, and past successes to facilitate growth and well-being, rather than focusing solely on their problems or deficits. This approach, rooted in positive psychology, assumes that individuals possess inherent strengths and resilience that can be leveraged to overcome challenges and improve their lives.
- Neuro-affirmative approach
This approach aims to empower neurodivergent individuals by building on their strengths and helping them navigate societal expectations and challenges.
- Trauma-informed approach
A trauma-informed approach is a strengths-based framework that recognises the widespread impact of trauma and emphasises creating safe, supportive environments that promote healing and recovery. It shifts the focus from "What's wrong with you?" to "What happened to you?" to understand the potential impact of past trauma on behavior and responses. This approach is not just for those with diagnosed trauma; it acknowledges that many people have experienced trauma and that a trauma-informed perspective can benefit everyone.
