I offer a free initial counselling consultation, typically lasting 15-30 minutes via phone or video, allowing you to determine if Space to Change Counselling is the right fit for your needs. You can either email me via the Get in Touch link, call or text me to set up the consultation.

The consultation is a brief, exploratory conversation to talk about your reasons for seeking help, understand my approach, and assess comfort, rather than diving into deep, detailed therapy. Asking about your current challenges and a brief history of your mental health are helpful areas to cover during the consultation.

Open-ended talking therapy 
£80 per session in-person/online

Open-ended therapy, also known as long-term or unstructured therapy, is a form of psychotherapy where the number of sessions is not predetermined. Instead, the therapy continues for as long as the client feels it is beneficial and necessary. This approach allows for a deeper exploration of issues and a more flexible pace tailored to the individual's needs.

Goal-focused talking therapy

Goal-focused therapy is a therapeutic approach that focuses on collaboratively setting and achieving specific, measurable goals with the client. It emphasises identifying what the client wants to change or achieve in their life and then working towards those desired outcomes

In-person location & travel

For in-person sessions, my therapy room is located in high Barnet, EN5 Barnet High Street (169 High Road EN5 5SU) 

There are two car parks within walking distance, one at The Spires and another opposite on Stapylton Road Car Park.

It is within easy reach of Whetstone and Totteridge N20, Potters Bar EN6, Hadley Green/Hadley Wood EN4, Elstree and Borehamwood WD6 and Mill Hill NW7.

The nearest underground station is High Barnet Stationon the Northern Line

Online sessions are offered via Teams to any location within the UK. 

Finding a quiet, private space is essential for effective online therapy, ensuring you can speak freely, focus fully, and maintain confidentiality without interruptions. A suitable, secluded area helps you feel emotionally safe and secure while engaging in sessions.
